Cyrus is a projectionist in Ahmedabad who lives with his beautiful wife Shernaz and his two children, Dilshad and the imaginative ten-year-old Parzan. Parzan has created his own imaginary, perfect world called Parzania, one which he shares only with his sister. Cyrus befriends an American man, Allan Webbings, who is researching the roots of religious intolerance. Just as Allan begins to find answers to his questions, religious tensions rise, and in the midst of violent riots Parzan goes missing.
Based on a true story, PARZANIA is Rahul Dholakia's second feature as
director. The film is part of the IFFLA 2006 Tribute to its lead actor,
Naseeruddin Shah.
