Quick Plot: Under the kaleidoscope kite-filled skies of Ahmedabad, a family reunions brings out drama, painful past memories, and hope for a new beginning.

Quick Fact #1:  Nawazuddin Siddiqui appears in a whopping four selections at this year’s fest- in addition to PATANG, he appears in Opening Night’s CHITTAGONG, audience choice anniversary retrospective BLACK FRIDAY, as well as WATCH INDIAN CIRCUS.

Quick Fact #2: This is the ultimate visual experience for film geeks and camera nerds- the visual aesthetic employs unique filmmaking techniques and Super 8mm style shooting, resulting in a storytelling experience where the how its told is just as important as the overall narrative.

Quick Fact #3: Seema Biswas is an IFFLA alum a few times over, having appeared in COOKING WITH STELLA and WATER. She’s a mainstay of parallel and Indian arthouse cinema, and will be in the upcoming adaptation of Salman Rushdie’s Midnight’s Children.

Quick Fact #4: PATANG is down-to-earth and real, without veering into the pretentious. It wowed audiences at Berlin International Film Festival, and has been delighting audiences the world over.
