A lonely widow, a university professor and an internet café owner try to overcome their past and put their lives in perspective while forging new alliances through an internet chat room. Unaware of their connection to each other, bitter truths are gradually revealed as their online personas and real identities surface. The more they try to elude the past, the faster it catches up with them, redefining their future, for better or for worse.
The film examines urban isolation and the desire to connect in a digital age in a manner that is personal, political and wholly engaging. Director Anish Ahluwalia’s debut feature, a dark, intense dramatic piece, is a fascinating character study with exceptional performances that exemplifies the changing face of Indian independent cinema.
