During one of her exhibitions, Sadhavi, a Nepalese painter, meets an interesting man who is impressed with her, and in turn, takes a marriage proposal to her parents on behalf of his brother. Equally impressed with the man, Sadhavi agrees to the marriage on the assumption that his brother will share a similar personality. Unfortunately, the couple soon discovers their incompatibility and the marriage fails. Sadhavi sets out to return to Nepal escorted by her ex-husband's brother. During a stop at the family estate Panchvati, their mutual admiration surfaces and the couple seemingly made for one another share a brief, but memorable moment together.
Based on the novel “Ek Aur Panchvati’ by Kusum Ansal, IFFLA presents PANCHVATI as part of its tribute to lead actress and real life painter and poet, Deepti Naval.
