Unni comes from an upper-caste family - a privileged world that leaves him frustrated by its seemingly arbitrary rules. Fortunately for him, he shares a love for pranks with his pals Gopi, Ramu and Raju that makes each day at school a new adventure. Whether taunting their instructor with itching powder or spying on the girls in the bathroom, these merry mischief-makers share an inseparable bond despite their caste differences. As adults and society at large attempt to divide the boys, the arrogance and wisdom of youth binds the friends even tighter as they face troubles at home and on the road ahead.

Beneath the humor of boyish pranks that will certainly take viewers back to their youth lies a poignant portrait of a child’s awakening to the complexities of life with a fusion of humor, heart and nostalgia guaranteed to appeal to viewers of all ages. Cannes award winning filmmaker, Murali Nair, returned to the school in Kerala where he once studied to find the boys who make up the inseparable quartet of boys in LIFE IS ALL ABOUT FRIENDS, the first in a trilogy.
