The Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles (IFFLA) is proud to present IFFLA Industry Day, the first-of-its-kind, day-long opportunity for South Asian entertainment industry talent – emerging artists, established executives, and eager students –  to connect in a curated forum aimed at creating new networks and potential collaborations. Industry Day will spotlight exciting South Asian voices, while attendees will have educational opportunities to hear first-hand expert advice from industry professionals, and engage in conversations around notable South Asian film and TV projects.

We are thrilled to be merging with India Center Foundation (ICF) and would like to thank them for providing crucial funding in launching an inclusive and enlightening space to build relationships, gain mentorship and knowledge, and create the next wave of groundbreaking work from the South Asian community in Los Angeles and beyond.

The pinnacle event of IFFLA Industry Day is Launch Pad: A Pitch Competition, where pre-selected projects in development will be presented by their creative team to a diverse panel of executives. Invited projects will receive immediate feedback from the panelists who, upon completion of the event, will be awarding one of the projects a $10,000 development grant. The competition takes place in front of a live audience, where community members’ presence heightens the sense of discovery.

IFFLA Industry Day will also include:

Mentorship Roundtables – In an informal roundtable setting, small groups of emerging creatives get the unique opportunity to ask experienced industry executives questions about their own professional paths, and to receive informal advice about their projects and career trajectories.

Panels – Exciting and timely panels on diverse aspects of the global South Asian entertainment space.

Special screenings and/or sneak previews of upcoming work by South Asian artists.

Networking Social Events and Reception, where the winner of the Launch Pad Pitch Competition will be announced

IFFLA Industry Day will be an enlightening space that builds context and buzz about upcoming work, provides a thrilling peek into typically closed door processes such as pitching, leverages relationships by imparting vital mentorship, and fosters community.
